“Why do you charge more than other copywriters?”

Most other ‘writers’ use better grammar, syntax, vocabulary and general correctness.

Me? I don’t read much, don’t study the language much, and don’t know the difference between a prepositional phrase and preparation h.

I write numbers (like 7) when they should be spelled out. Same with the ‘%’ sign.

And start sentences with ‘and’. Same with ‘with’. With sentences that are short and crisp.

For these reasons, Hire them, not me, as your writer.

You see. I’m not a writer. I’m a copywriter.

  • What 3 or 4 steps describe how you'll work together?
  • How can you remove any fears when working with you?
  • What's your primary call to action?
  • What's your secondary call to action?
  • What will success look like for your customers?
  • What will they experience if they don't use your service?
  • Who will they become after using your service?

Clear questions with clear answers will lead to a clear message.

What’s yours? Actually, don’t answer that. If it's like most, it’s probably a long-winded, slew of jargon that makes people roll their eyes and think, “oh brother”. Right? But we’ll change that.

Nope.

I don’t do editing for your long-form pages or important copy. It’s more work to bandage a page than write a proper one from the start.

“Why don’t you charge by the hour?”

Because it’s better when you know up front, what you’ll get and how much it will cost.

No need for either of us to mange anything by the hour. That’s extra work.

If we’re unsure how long something might take there’s other ways for us to work together. I sometimes charge by the day, week, or month. Along with an estimate of how long I think it will take. Again, so you can have a good idea before we start of what you’ll get, when and at what cost.

Dig it? Most do.

“What if I hate what you write?”

Just. Not. Possible.

Brash? No (well maybe).

It’s the lean, software architect, iterate-iterate-iterate in me. I’ve mentioned somewhere on this site a couple-or-three times, about ‘showing and sharing progress daily’.

There’s never (ever) a surprise when it comes to writing or designing your copy or content. We do some healthy thrashing at the beginning to get the voice and tone just right.

Then, it’s all about making small course corrections as we go. Easier to pivot a small ship than turn a large vessel. Working with you iteratively allows us to ‘nail it’- every time.
